It was a seminal moment in terms of creating - or recognizing - a self-conscious blog community in GSO, and it was attended by several N&R folks, who seemed to take a lot of energy away from the event. One of the things that makes the N&R special is that it has always recognized that it didn't invent blogging, and it has respected and linked to the local independents.
